a. AsHA Learning Improvement Center: Being in the most backward region, AsHA since its inception has taken initiative on improving quality education. The pandemic proved to be most disastrous of its time. Schools, colleges and any form education centers were totally closed. During this time, AsHA took emergency initiative to teach students of lower pre-primary level at Habrubil. On 2020, AsHA has been able to extend to six other villages with the help of community contribution under the Gossaigaon development block in Kokrajhar district. Efforts have been given to bring change through conducting learning improvement classes in selected centers known as Learning Improvement Centers. In these centers’ children are provided scope of learning through caring, loving and nurturing environment with completely joyful mechanism. The children learn sound consciousness, concept of mathematics, numbers, letters, words, rhymes etc. This program is run throughout the year. Objective- * To improve the quality of education * To bring development in level of learning * To generate awareness and sense of responsibility among the mass on importance of education. b. AsHA Library cum Computer Center: AsHA has initiated the establishment and operation of a library cum computer center in Kachukata village, recognizing the need for educational and technological resources within the community. Through strategic planning and resource mobilization, AsHA has created a vibrant learning hub that offers access to a diverse range of books, educational materials, and computer facilities. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and promote literacy, digital skills, and lifelong learning among communities, particularly students. By fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and empowerment, AsHA’s endeavor embodies a proactive approach to community development and inclusive growth in Kachukata village. Recently, the library cum computer center in Kachukata village received a generous donation of 700 book kits from the Pratam Organization, enriching the resources available to students and community members. These books cover a wide range of subjects and genres, providing valuable opportunities for learning, exploration, and personal growth. Students are enthusiastically engaging with the new additions to the library, utilizing them to expand their knowledge, enhance their literacy skills, and explore diverse topics. Through the generous contributions from the community, the library cum computer center in Kachukata village has installed 3 computers, significantly enriching the learning experience for students. These computers serve as essential tools for introducing students to the basics of computer literacy. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students are gaining foundational knowledge of computer operations, including keyboarding skills, navigating software interfaces, and understanding fundamental concepts such as file management and internet browsing. Our main goal on computer education – All the students will be able to demonstrate basic computer skills, including turning on/off a computer, using a mouse and keyboard effectively, and navigating the desktop independently.
